SUMMER FUN THE MAIZE MAZE THIS YEAR'S PUZZLE TIMES & CHARGES DIRECTIONS CONTACT US FUN FOR THE KIDS
OPEN FROM JULY 18th TO SEPT 6th 2009
Hidcote Manor Farm is proud to present the opening of this year's Maize Maze.
This years theme is 'scary' and the maze is in the shape of a giant DRAGON over 200 metres tall!
Our unique design is cut into a field of fodder maize and interspersed with over 50,000 sunflowers. Bridges and observation towers offer a magic sight and scenic views across the vale of Evesham and to the Malvern Hills beyond.
Will you get stuck in it? Will you need rescuing? Will you be able to free yourself from it's grasp?
Are you looking for something different to do with the children this summer?
Something not only healthy but also great fun?
Something mind stretching and leg stretching?
Our magical maize maze is set in glorious Cotswold countryside and is ideal for picnics. At over 8 acres in size our giant Dragon is one of the largest mazes in the country, with more than 4 miles of paths!! Not only mind stretching but leg stretching too.
Don't worry though, if you do get completely lost, help is always at hand with the assistance of our very own 'maze master.' He always knows how to find his way out(he helped to build it after all !)
Ideal for picnics.

What is a Maize Maze?
Come and get lost!
Be puzzled beyond belief as you meander around a living crop of maize. Our maize maze will give the whole family a really fun trip out. Most people are good at solving mazes, or are they?
Come and be inspired, or misguided...
The appeal of a cornfield maize maze is deceptively simple. Suspend belief, allow yourself to get lost, be puzzled, be bamboozled, be mesmerised, (don't worry though, help is always at hand if you need a guiding word).

Watch others from the vantage of our observation points. Are they retracing your steps? Do they know a path through that has eluded you? Or are they puzzled and mesmerised too?
Everyone can join in the fun, and you don't have to wait in line to get started. There's plenty of sunshine, warmth and light. Race as fast as you can, or take as long as you like.

Amaizing Fun
Large bridges in the maze cross over paths giving the maze a 3-D effect, making the maze more puzzling, but offers you the chance to gloat at persons passing under your feet.
One thing is sure- our maze will give the whole family a real fun day out, with puzzles, quizzes and a mind bending 7 ½ acres of brain storming maize maze.
As well as the giant Dragon maze there are trampolines, pedal go-karts, childrens' play equipment, sand pit, six minute puzzles and a maze quiz. Enough to entertain the whole family.
The most fun you will have getting lost in the countryside.

This Year's Puzzle
The maze is designed by a world leading maze designer. It is the ninth year that Hidcote Manor Farm has done a Maize maze, each year building on the success of the previous year.
This years theme is of 'magical lands' - A Maze with monsters and lands to get lost in:
  • Island of Sweets
  • Island of Moons
  • Isand of Rainbows
  • Land of Mountains
  • Keep a keen eye and ear out for those tricky Pirates and Giants..and of course those tiny fairies!
Are you up to the challenge of this years magical mystery? Or are you too lily livered?
Don't leave it too late to visit. The whole maze is chopped down in mid-September and made into silage for the farms cattle. Very eco-friendly!
This design is unique to Hidcote Manor Farm and will last just seven weeks, never to be repeated. It offers the visitor an entertainment opportunity not to be missed.
